William (Bill) Benson, Jr.
William (Bill) Benson, Jr, is a certified public accountant who has been serving the Twin Ports and surrounding areas for over 35 years. His goal is to provide clients with the highest level of professional services with integrity and confidentiality. Outside of work, Bill is an avid reader who enjoys riding his Harley, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Tammy Courrege has joined TCG Accounting as a bookkeeping / payroll specialist. She graduated from Lake Superior College with an accounting AAS and microcomputer specialist degree. She has 15+ years of experience doing accounting and payroll for a variety of businesses. Outside of work she enjoys being with family and friends.
Alex French joined TCG in late 2017. He grew up in Wright, Minnesota with his parents and 2 brothers. He received his Accounting degree from University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2016 and is focused on completing his CPA exam in 2018. In addition to his educational background, he brings 10 plus years of experience in Client Relationship Management. In his role with TCG, Alex focuses on being our clients’ primary contact and ensuring their satisfaction. From making sure documents are in order to answering a client’s questions in plain English, he believes in quick action and concise communication. In his free time, Alex prefers to be on a golf course trying to keep it in play and minimize 3 putts. Playing 18 at Pebble Beach and watching the Master’s in person are on his bucket list. With Minnesota’s weather interrupting golf for at least half the year, he also enjoys reading, watching anything football related and spending time with his family (especially nieces and nephew).
Bonita joined TCG Accounting in December 2017. She earned her Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Superior. Her first Bachelor’s degree included majors in writing and biology and the second, most recent degree was in accounting. She is a certified analyst for milk and water in Wisconsin and works part time at the Douglas County Health Department laboratory. Outside of work, Bonita spends her time with her family, and fixing up her homestead on the Middle River, the core component being a squared log cabin built in the late 1800’s. She loves to write and enjoys cooking, sewing, knitting and other crafts. Other interests include reading, meditating, yoga, qigong and dance. Her favorite outdoor activities are kayak camping and hiking.
Jerad Borgschatz grew up in Pine Island, Minnesota but has learned to call Duluth his home over the last 6 years. He attended University of Minnesota, Duluth and graduated with a degree in Accounting and Financial Planning in May of 2016. He currently specializes in tax preparation for businesses and individuals and is actively working towards attaining his CPA certification. When not in the office, Jerad enjoys playing basketball, golfing, and spending time with his family.
Harold Bach joined TCG Accounting in early 2018. He is a retired former CPA, Personal Financial Specialist, and Certified Financial Planner, who sold his CPA firm to American Express Tax & Business Services in the early nineties. He came out of retirement from American Express, and Bank of America, to get back into the accounting field and reactivate his skills in personal taxes. Formerly an instructor in the area of teaching tax and financial planning across the United States for National and State CPA trade groups, he is looking forward to again meeting with clients, fellow accountants, and helping with the expansion of the TCG Accounting group.
Married, with 5 boys & seven grandchildren, he moved to Duluth from the Twin Cities. He enjoys not only his family activities but continues playing cribbage with several groups. In addition to being a former Vietnam Vet, who served at the HQs of the Army Security and Defense Intelligence Agencies in Washington, D.C., Harold received a number of State awards for being one their best tax instructors, and was selected by "Money Magazine" as one of the best tax professionals in the country.
Rick Friedman joined TCG Accounting in November 2017. Rick specializes in the Bookkeeping and Payroll areas for TCG. He previously was the accountant at Goodwill Industries. He grew up in Hermantown and now lives there with his three sons now attending the high school. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Superior and has his 4 Year degree in Accounting. Outside of work Rick spends a lot of time at the cabin with family enjoying fishing, hunting, and just being at the lake.
